June 2013 - A view of a turbulent star-forming region

This huge panorama, one of the largest ever assembled of Hubble images, shows the Tarantula Nebula in the Large Magellanic Cloud. The Tarantula Nebula is the largest and brightest star-forming region known in the local Universe, and home to many extreme phenomena.
