Hubblecast 121: Discovering Exoplanets from Transits

12 June 2019

Transits — an object moving between the parent star and the observing telescope — not only allow to detect exoplanets orbiting distant stars, but also to infer many of their properties. This Hubblecast explores what we can learn from these transits, what Hubble has done in this field and what we can expect to learn through the upcoming NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope.
